Mission
Govt. Polytechnic College, Mananthavady is a pioneer institution offering Diploma in Engineering and Technology to students of Post—Secondary level and aims to uplift the community by recognizing the moto “Technology Triumphs” and strives to accomplish the goals by the following ways:

To develop the institution as the Centre of Excellence by equipping it with the latest infrastructure facilities and make it fit to achieve NBA accreditation.
- To provide need based quality education at affordable cost by establishing link with Industries, Govt. Technical establishments, Non-Govt. Organizations, Alumni and Parent Teachers’ Association.
- To develop holistic personality of the students by all possible ways so that they can contribute effectively and efficiently in the respective professional career, besides offering sound technical knowledge.
- To update the knowledge and skill of the faculty members to meet the fast evolving technological challenges, by deputing them for higher education and various training programmes in Industry, SITTTR, NITTTR, IMG and other agencies under staff development programmes.
- To offer value added Technical and Personality development courses to students and technocrats working in industry, under continuing education programmes and student services, in order to appreciate the greater ramification of lifelong learning in the present context,.
- To orient every activity towards infusing ethical values, team spirit, self-confidence, good environmental awareness and women empowerment by all possible ways to make the student capable to become a good citizen and contribute to the socio-economic development of our motherland and the global society at large.

Sri. C P Sureshkumar joined on 19 September 2017 as the first Principal of the institution
Smt. Swarna C joined on 2018 as the first teaching faculty (HoD in Computer Engg. ) of the institution
Construction of MLA LAD building of Sri. O R Kelu started on
Class rooms and office shifted to Panamaram rental building on 1 august 2018
